Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds.

The muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and the head is growing bigger to accommodate his brain

Your baby's nutritional needs reach their peak during this trimester.

Keep yourself and your baby well nourished with protein, vitamin C, folic acid, iron, and calcium.

You should be able to feel your baby's movements strongly now, and be sure to let your practitioner know if you ever notice a decrease in activity.

Heartburn and constipation may be troubling you. To prevent constipation, eat a high-fiber diet, drink plenty of water, and get some regular exercise.
