Week 16

Your baby is almost the size of a pear.

In the next few weeks, the child will go through a tremendous growth spurt, though, doubling in weight

Due to increased bloodflow to the skin, you may have that wonderful pregnancy glow.

Although closed, the eyes are moving (slowly), and it has even started growing toenails.

You may begin to experience a slight fluttering feeling in your abdomen – that is your baby moving!  Although if you feel nothing, these are nothing to be alarmed about, some women may not feel this until the 20 week mark.
