Sticky Fingers
Oh dear. Someone has sticky fingers!I’m not talking about sticky ice cream fingers. I’m talking about the sticky grabbing-store-goods-without-paying fingers.
Benjamin and I went shopping and we almost left without paying for a pair of socks.
I know, just socks. But, growing up with a dad who was a Probation Officer (who mainly dealt with shoplifters), I knew stealing was a big no-no! I know no one is about to handcuff a 17-month-old but it’s still not a habit I want him to get into!
Benjamin will no longer sit still in his stroller while at the mall (this is why I’m seriously thinking about buying a baby leash). So sometimes I’ll take him out and let him wander around stores. I usually end up chasing him around more than shopping. And we almost always end up leaving before I want to because of a temper tantrum.
This time was no different. Benjamin started running around, people looked annoyed and I picked him up kicking and screaming and put him back into his stroller. We walked out of the store and the sirens beeped.
The sales people were understanding and laughed off the situation. But that situation quickly ended our shopping trip. I think it’s best if I run errands on my own from now on!
