My Son the Sweetheart
My kid is turning out to be a sweetheart...in public anyway.Benjamin’s daycare worker can’t stop gushing to me about how “gentle” he is towards the other kids and how he “shares” his toys.
Of course this makes me feel amazing as a parent. What parent wouldn’t smile and feel on top of the world after hearing such praise about their toddler? And after the number of screaming tantrums I’ve been exposed to lately, I think I really needed to hear some positive feedback.
But who knows, maybe she’s telling every parent the same thing about their own kids!
Of course I’m only half kidding. I know he is a sweetheart and I feel very blessed to be a mom to such a wonderful little boy. But of course there’s that other side to him that keeps me on my toes!
Sometimes I feel like he already knows how to act around different people (what a smart child!)
It wouldn’t surprise me if this was the case because I did the same thing growing up. I remember my teachers telling my parents how quiet I was in class and my mom laughing because she knew the “real Caroline” really wasn’t that shy.
Benjamin doesn’t know it yet but I’m already on to him!
