Happy Birthday!
We attended Benjamin’s cousin’s first birthday party this past weekend. The party was beautiful, as was the birthday girl, Evelyn!My husband’s sister had a baby girl this time last year (almost exactly five months after Benjamin was born). I can’t believe she’s a year old already! Where on earth does the time go?
No seriously. Where does the time go?
It feels like just yesterday I was pregnant with swollen ankles, heart burn and Braxton Hicks contractions! It’s so hard to believe I’m now a mom to a walking, almost-talking toddler with a one-year-old cousin!
I could see in my sister-in-law’s eyes that she also can’t believe how fast time flies. The one year birthday is a major milestone that is both beautiful and emotional! Both the baby and the parents do a lot of growing that first year!
I’m so happy Benjamin will grow-up with cousins his age (my brother has a daughter who is four months older than him). Some families unfortunately don’t know their extended family. But I hope my son will always know and adore his cousins.
Happy birthday to my niece and we look forward to many more family celebrations in the future!
