C’Mon Snow!
We have been having incredible weather here in Toronto. It’s January and I’m about to take Benjamin out to the park on his BIKE.Shouldn’t I be taking him out in his brand new sled instead? It’s sitting in the closet collecting dust!
I’m in awe over how mild it has been and while I’m thrilled to enjoy an autumn extension, I’m a little sad because my husband and I were looking forward to introducing snow to Benjamin. He’s much more in tune with his surroundings now than he was this time last year and I know he’ll have a blast rolling around in the white stuff in his new snowsuit and boots!
I know in a month, when we’re dealing with snow, slush and salt stains, I’ll be singing a different tune. I know I’ll be looking forward to beaches and sunshine. But, until that happens I’m here wishing it would snow so my son can experience what I did growing up; snow forts, snow balls, snow angels and maybe even some good old fashion Canadian snow cones with maple syrup!
Do you have snow where you are? And how do you celebrate winter with the kids?
